Minimum Age: 15+
Course Content: Students
will be formally assessed on their ability to sail, whilst demonstrating
the 5 essentials in the following areas; Sailing a triangular course
with or without a rudder, sailing a tight circle, follow-my-leader,
man overboard. Students may be asked to complete one or all of
the following; Lee shore landing and launch, anchor or pick a mooring
up – wind against tide, capsize recovery, coming alongside – wind
against tide.

Course Duration: 5 Days
Minimum Age: 16+
Course Content: A 5 day
course to train experienced dinghy sailors to teach the RYA National
Sailing Scheme. Candidates are formally assessed at the end of
the week which takes the form of a short written paper, 2 observed
practical teaching sessions, (1 on land and 1 on the water) and
a short presentation.
Prior knowledge or Qualifications: An
RYA Dinghy Pre-assessment - RYA Powerboat Level 2 - A recognised
First Aid Certificate.
