An introduction to the sport, covering the minimum knowledge required to get afloat under supervision. It will give you a basic understanding of boat handling techniques and background knowledge.

Course Content:
The aim is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to be competent sailors in light winds. It will include an introduction to sailing techniques and manoeuvres, rigging, launching, capsize recovery and basic 'rules of the road'.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: RYA Dinghy Sailing Level 1 or experienced to this level.

This course covers all aspects of the Level 1 & 2 RYA syllabuses, which takes novices and aims to make them competent sailors in light airs. The course will cover sailing techniques and manoeuvres, rigging, launching, safety, capsize recovery and basic 'rules of the road'.

Course Content:
Go cruising - passage planning and decision making for dinghy cruising. Get there AND back again with enough water to still stay afloat and get the boat back on the trailer! Tides. charts, pilotage, rules of the road, it's all here in a structures and enjoyable course programme.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: Experienced Level 2 sailors or the ability to comfortably sail to the standard of Level 2.

Course Content:
The course will aim to provide students with the ability to handle a boat in all circumstances, developing knowledge and skills so that seamanlike decisions and effective action in moderate conditions will be made. This will include man over board, sailing rudderless, sailing plateless, reefing afloat, lee shore landings and anchoring.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: Experienced Level 2 sailors or the ability to comfortably sail to the standard of level 2.

It is course that will provide students with the skills to sail both asymmetric and symmetric 3 sail boats and the background knowledge to support these newly honed skills.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: Experienced Level 2 sailors or the ability to comfortably sail to the standard of Level 2.
