is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to be
competent sailors in light winds. It will include an introduction
to sailing techniques and manoeuvres, rigging, launching, capsize
recovery and basic 'rules of the road'.

Dinghy Sailing Level 2 Plus |
Minimum Age: 16+
Course Content: The aim
is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to be
competent sailors in light winds. It will include an introduction
to sailing techniques and manoeuvres, rigging, launching, capsize
recovery and basic 'rules of the road'. This course has an additional
2 days over the standard level 2 course to allow students to who
have had limited practice since doing their level 1 to consolidate
their skills.

is aimed at relatively new sailors who have completed the RYA Level
2 course, but do not feel ready to tackle the RYA’s advanced
modules and want supportive tuition to improve their confidence
and technique, helping them to become independent sailors.

in all circumstances, developing knowledge and skills so that seamanlike
decisions will be made and effective action can be taken in moderate
conditions will be made. This will include man over board, sailing
rudderless, sailing plateless, reefing afloat, lee shore landings
and anchoring.
