Course Content:
The course provides beginners with skills in launching and recovering a dinghy, steering and basic manoeuvres, knowledge of parts of the boat and basic sailing.

Course Content:
The course will provide students with basic sailing skills, rope work and collision avoidance. By the end of the course, students should be able to tack and control their boat speed and understand the basic principles of sailing.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: Stage 1 or the ability to sail to the standard of Stage 1.

Course Content:
This course is a combined Stage 1 and 2 course for beginners, which takes students through all the skills of the Stage 1 and 2 syllabus.

Minimum Age: 11-16 (NB: Minimum age 8 for Oulton Broad Course)

Course Content:
The course covers areas including rigging, launching and recovery, sailing techniques, capsize recovery and sailing theory. By the end of the course, students should be able to sail around a triangular course in moderate conditions.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: Stage 2 or the ability to sail to this standard.

Course Content:
The course is specifically aimed at adapting existing skills for two man boats. By the end of the course, students will be able to sail a triangular course, launch and return to a beach, jetty or mooring in a two man boat

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: Stage 3 or the ability to sail to Stage 3 standards.
