Paddle Sport Coaching Courses

Course Duration: 4 Days (2 weekends)

Minimum Age: 16+

Course Content: This is the first step on the coaching ladder and teaches you the fundamentals of coaching paddle sports. This practical and fun 4 day course will prepare you to introduce and guide others into the sport.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: New 2 Star or old 2 Star Canoe & Kayak - Foundation Safety & Rescue Training - Completed & Stamped CR form.

Course Duration: 1 Day

Minimum Age: 16+

Course Content: Coaches who hold a qualification from the BCU’s previous award scheme, and who wish to achieve the new BCU UKCC Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Paddle sports can do so via our transfer route. This is in effect a shortened assessment route that takes into account your previous qualifications.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: BCU Level 1 Coach (Old) - Foundation Safety & Rescue Training - Completed & Stamped CR form.

Cost: £60/£120

Course Duration: 4 Days (2 weekends)

Minimum Age: 17+

Course Content: A four day programme to prepare you for the BCU/UKCC Level 2 coach assessment. The assessment is separate and follows a period of mentored coaching practice and the completion of one or more supporting units (see the BCU website for full details).

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: UKCC BCU Level 1 Coach - Completed & Stamped CR form.

Course Duration: 1 Day

Minimum Age: 17+

Course Content: This one day course will assess your competence as a UKCC / BCU Level 2 Coach, you should ensure you are fully pre-pared and have all the pre-requisites, including a portfolio that has all of the required evidence.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: BCU Level 2 Coach Training - Completed portfolio - Completed & Stamped CR form.

Course Duration: 1 Day

Minimum Age: 17+

Course Content: Coaches who hold a qualification from the BCU’s previous award scheme, and who hold the necessary pre-requisites, can achieve the new BCU UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Paddle sports via our transfer route. This is in effect a shortened training course for the new qualification.

Prior knowledge or Qualifications: BCU Level 2 Coach - New 2 Star or old 2 Star Canoe & Kayak - Foundation Safety & Rescue Training - Completed & Stamped CR form.
