This SWSA youth group is a vibrant and exciting youth sailing
group, started in the 1960’s and run by volunteers.
The youth group’s
aims are to provide fun, safe, sail training programmes for young
people, with the objective of turning members into independent
dinghy sailors with skills that can be enjoyed for the rest of
their lives.
Many of our young sailors go on to become active racers
in local clubs, or join one of the RYA Zone squads. Others decide
to stay on as helpers, many of whom go on to become instructors
with our support.
The group is based at Woolverstone Marina, and
operates 3 evenings a week:
